Question EJ25 DOHC heads on SOHC EJ22

I sourced out a set of MY97 Legacy heads from a 2.5L DOHC. Both bank's cams are broken so I'll get some $ off the total price. a bearing for one cam at the end near the broken cam gear looks angled, and one exhaust stud missing.

I did do some searching and assume the heads are a direct swap. Will these DOHC affect my ECU in any way? I don't think so because it's not a AVCS head.

Where to find the valve covers for this....

How well does the dual port EJ22 head's in the early 90's Legacy's flow compared to the EJ25? The EJ25 might have a higher valve lift.

EDIT: I have a MY99 EJ22

The cam timing sensor wheel might be different. THe cam sproket from different years and engines have a different number of "nubs" behind them to read and verify cam position. If you do not get a cam wheel with the same number of nub, the ECU will not like it.

I was thinking of getting adjustible cam gears in replacing the broken ones so I can advance the intake and exhaust cams.

EDIT: Darn they don't make adjustible cam gears for Subaru.
Could just getting the earlier heads from a MY92 Legacy 2.2L, which has dual ports be better?

How much better does the early MY90's 2.2L dual ports flow than my stock MY99 2.2L?

150-180cfm or thereabouts. I don't know how this compares to the single ports. But I do have a set that I would be willing to part with. Send me a PM with an offer and we can talk about it if you are interested...
