Question HELP!--> MY2000 WeaponR Intake

Hi guys/gals,

Just received parts to complete the WeaponR Intake for MY2000 Impreza.

Ive installed intakes before, never on a Subaru but the instructions included are silly to me.

Anybody offer help? or pix would be excellent as well.

Questions:

Anyone tell me where the PVC valve is? Im assuming its the one connected to the hose that is in the front of the airbox?

Where does the t-fitting go after you connect the pvc hose and left side valve hose to it? plug it into the 15mm opening? or do you need a hose to plug into the t-fitting then to the 15mm opening?

Thanks for any info you can give me!

Terry

Cool

Um.......about the hoses and the T fitting, there should be 3 (I think, I don't have a MY00 RS) hoses that connect to the stock intake. On my Weapon R intake there was 2 holes in it for the vacuum tubes. SO, you need the T fitting to run 2 hoses into 1. I don't think it matters which 2 you connect together.

Cool

I just finished one recently...first the "T"
connects the two valve cover breathers and then to the intake pipe (over the small tube) the short pvc hose goes inside(not outside)the larger tube, at least that is what weapon R says and it does work (so far)

Cool thanks dudes...
I just finished it... Most of it was pretty easy, just sticking the hoses in. but I wasnt sure how to get the 10mm hose onto the 15mm fitting...Big A$$ stretch? so like you said I stuck it inside the hole. It seems like it works, but I dont feel that comfortable with it like that. If anyone can recommend how to secure it better, it would be really appreciated.

Took for a few runs already Wikkkked growl past 3k, Not sure if more power, feels like it. Though, it seems to have lost some of the bottom end, but makes up for it later on? Nothing to back it up though. The sound it creates is worth it at least...

Did you guys that installed do a ECU reset? is it worth my time.. or should I just drive it around for a couple days?

Thanks,

Terry

Hey Terry, glad to hear you finally got it installed. FWIW, I didn't do an ecu reset, and didn't bother with it with any of my other cars that I've installed intakes on, be it my cars or others. NO problem whatsoever with mileage or anything. And we have the same MY car..so~

I really don't see the big deal with it

Hey Keiho,

Yeah finally the parts came in... 2 weeks after i received the kit!... AND! I had to pay a $8 tax/handling fee!... Im writing to them again to get compensated, thats just ridiculous.

Yeah, im not gonna do the ecu reset, too lazy...

And like you said, you have no problems, and we drive same MY's..

Thanks Keiho, Later
