How do you drive your WRX/STi every day?

I'm curious how everyone drives their WRX/STi(or whatever) every day? Cmon, fess up and be honest.

I think I've bumped mine off the rev limiter twice. Both times on a gravel corner, in a drift, and there was no way I was comming off the throttle.

When I do get on it on the street, I usually shift around 6k.

I tend to shift right around 3k 85-90% of the time. But on those occasions where I've got no cars in front of me and a nice sweeping corner I'll turn the radio off and listen to the beautiful music my car makes...and will do so over and over again till someone is in my way. Even then though I'm just enjoying the car....never BEATING on it. I'd feel too guilty, as I just like the car too much.

i gun it at least once daily (under 6000rpm), but rarely do i redline it. I maybe go past 6000rpm maybe once a week...

I drive very similiar

I love on-ramps too

I still manage to get 23-25mpg also

There is a deserted, pretty long stretch of road by my house about 1 mile long ... I WOT it there on my way to work and when I come back home ..

I try so hard to save fuel, but I cannot!

pretty much the same here; keep it between 2500 and 4500 most of the time

I drive it like I stole it when I'm alone.

When I'm with my GF or family I shift at around 4k RPM on all gears.

Toll booths are fun

6~7k everytime, unless the state police are there watching...

Stop lights on the highway (I live in RI where we have 2 lane highways with stoplights?!) if I'm first same thing.

Off/On Ramps 6~7k...

Basically like the first 2 WRX commercials that we shown, and how the car is meant to drive. I also make sure she is warm first, and that there is no law enforcement around, or anyone that is not paying attention.

I constantly heel and toe and stay in a gear that there is power available if need be

I also 'blast about' in several good, local places that just happen to be on the way to where ever I seem to be going

Every morning I redline 4th on my way to work. In standard traffic (i.e. rush hour) I shift at 3-4k. I heel toe, or at least downshift, for almost every stop and corner.

Mine see's 6K 2-3 times a day. Redline, maybe once a month. That's what I love about this car, you don't have to redline the hell out of it to get it to move.

I'm a wuss, but my 3 year old is my co-pilot (from the backseat, of course). That and Highway 4 near my house is always stop-and-go.

I've bumped against the rev limiter twice. The first time, I just wanted to see how she reacted. The second, I was merging onto the interstate and an 18 wheeler moved from the fast lane to the slow lane as I was about to merge (yeah, so I'm a bad driver

). I try to shift by 4K most of the time, but sometimes I just gotta push 6K. Ocassionally, I am in the sweeeeeet band between 6K and the rev limiter, but I don't want to kill her. She feels so good accelerating, and so smooth at speeds approaching and over 100mph, that sometimes I just can't help it...
