so the y pipe, does it flare out to slip over your stock pipe, or did you have to weld it into place?

we had to fabricate this. we found a 3"->2.5" adapter at advanced auto and then got a 2.5"->2.25" I.D adapter fo rthat to fit the stock exhaust. mig'd the 3" adapter to the DP cut the mid/centre pipe so nothing would stick out longer than needed and then slipp'd the adapters on over the 3->2.5 and 2.5->2.25 and then into the mid/centre pipe... have to exhaust clamp em down because my mig was on the lowest temp and was blowing through the exhaust pipe!

so the cut out wont open while ur driving? oh, and when it opens does it throw a cell? oh yeah i was thinking, since i have a RS, moving the cat to somewhere on the midpipe and sticking the cut-out somewhere before the cat....could i leave the cutout on without wireing it right away, i was gonna just have a exaust shop weld the cutout on and move the cat and stuff and then wire the cutout switch myself...

the cutout will open when i'm driving.. theres a lil switch next to my dccd that i can toggle. there is a non-motorized cutout that uses screws you can use too.

I had dinner with Barry from QTP last night.. He brought his WRX with the product installed and the difference is night and day in sound. Very mean growl but it's not ear-splitting like you may think. Overall a good racing product.

So scoba, have you had any problems since the install. I have heard of the butterfly valve not closing all the way and causing a minor leak. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
