Default Silverstar Signal Bulbs

So, I decided to do the headlight mod to remove the amber plastic cover in the '03 headlight assembly. I've temporarily replaced the clear bulbs with amber units. What I'm really after is these chromed/silver bulbs:

Well isn't that a pissy message - welcome to the internet

I've talked to JBs, Crappy Tire and Greggs (from which I bought my silverstar headlight bulbs) with no luck. JBs did have really crappy taiwanese units. Any ideas on local (edmonton) vendors?

I thought I saw them there too. PartSource is a division of Canadian Tire, but w/ better suited staff.

Looks good Chad! Did you bake the lights or just reach in and chop up the orange reflector with some snips?

Actually, that's not my car in the pics. I did the bake job. It was more of a pain in the arse than I thought it would be, but they look good and weren't damaged in the process.

Found them at the South Common partsource. Thanks all. A touch more blue than I wanted. I'll get a pic up today.

BTW, Sylania does make an orange illuminated bulb w/ a translucent chrome coloring. I've only ever seen them in Europe but they're out there.

Here's the description from Sylanvia - they are a touch toned down from the pictures. They definetly more rice then I was expecting.

SilverStar® High Performance Signal Lighting single filament bayonet base (27 watts). SilverStar® Signal Lighting features the latest breakthrough in European Diadem™ interference coating technology to produce a signal lamp that is irredescent blue when unlit and 100% legal amber when lit.

I tried to locate something in our pathetic local market - these included. The silverstars looked good in the package and in the shop, but they reflect a lot more orange than one would expect unlit.
