youll never be a bullet but there are nice mods to make it feel better without to much cash i think

i have an auto rs and well they arent all on but the parts that i own are"
-jc sports intake
-lightweight crank pulley
-paranoid fabrications grounding kit
-borla headers
-custom midpipe
-wrx axleback

i mean its nothing serious but makes it all a fun car, and those arent all my mods just the engine ones. when you do springs youll LOVE the car

Intresting that sounds realli awsome and cheap (which brings up perk ), and about the suspension side think i can go with Tein's Dress UP Master S-Tech without getting a camber kit cause i got two friends arguing that it will gain camber and no it wont help me out here.....

ohh hey my friends wants to sell me his stock WRX turbo and he said it should fit and all i need is a turbo manifold is this correct??

its a big pain to turbo our motors i say its not worth it in the long run

teins i hear are soft springs which i like rougher ones but to each their own, im no genius

oh and all those mods i got werent cheap but i sacrafice eating for most of them. of all things there the total would be....about 475 bucks hah

it depends on the person and stuff

oh and i get things at good deals and most of my stuff is used

i like the axleback cause at times its quiet and at other times its not, ive never heard it outside the car to tell you how it sounds going by. my parents are against car stuff so this is kind of a stealth way to keep them off my back, as well as cops cause it has subaru stammped on the thing. if i were to do it again i prob would get the stromung axleback or something just cuase it sounds even meaner with the headers

yeah but iono my homeboi lost alot of gas cuz he got 19s on his WRX

and i know that 18s will lose gas also and CALI's gas is sky rocketing but yeah since my car is black i like the looks of the rims its Gunmetal with a Polished lip and that looks nice with the car and i wana tint the windows to 30% but the thing is if the rims will clear the rear fenders without useing a wide body you know???

well what are the dimension of the rims you are using and all? i know a handful of people that have 18s on their wrx but heck they have enough power to roll em(and those are just for pimp rims they have other rims for auto-x)

I like the look of 17's on an RS, not too big, but if you want 18's try and get as light a rim as possible. Sometimes when rims are too big for the car it looks "like a rabbit wearing running shoes" (not sure where I heard that, but it was on here).

18s should fit depending on the dimensions. if its like 18x11 or something big like that then..well u kno it wont fit (duh). i have 18s on my RS (bug-eyed automatic..yay...). the acceleration didnt suffer that much and i believe my gas mileage improved (i do mostly highway driving). i think the rims are lighter than stock..not sure though. just dont put the rims on before you lower the car, it'll look funny.

but ya, welcome to the scooby world! RSs arent that fast, but put on some good tires and suspension, and all that 2.5L torque will let u have fun on the turns!

i ran 18's on my car for about 1 yr 1/2..it was fine..just get the right size tire..and you dont have to get a wide body..hehe..tho it might look nice on piker's car..hey pike..ive never seen your car..show me some pics bro..doin engine is really up to you..are you the all go type..or you just like to bling..having an auto also makes our cars(rs) heavier..i say you just build your suspension..cause subaru's in general are fun especially w/ suspension..also get some really nice rims..heard that ADR's are heavy..so i dont know..its like you wanna go faster but youre making your car heavier?..but yea..you can def. make your rs a looker..its a great feeling when you see ppl staring at your car all the time..gl

Hey, I'll sell you my WRX axelback along with the Stromung midpipe. $100 shipped! Now that's a deal. Ask piker. I needed more bark for my car, so I upgraded to the Stromung catback. The video is up on this forum somewhere. Just do a search. Hey piker, we'll take pics when I'm in the area.

Btw impreziveRS415, for fun factor of your autoRS. Take this path.
Intake-->Catback-->Headers(Go Borla, you'll sound mean)
After this, you can add whatever you want.

anyone tried the cobb Street Performer Cams?

unfortunately from what i have gathered modding the newer RS's is just not really worth it (cobb stage 3 power package brings you to a WHOPPING 200 BHP for $4000 or there is the EJ20 swap which will run you $5000 minimum, not installed.) im in the same boat with my '02 RS. I think basically by the time you get performance anywhere near the WRX you have spent more than if you had just bought the WRX in the first place. i may still end up modding in the end...we'll see. then again.. with some small mods on our RS's we MIGHT be able to beat WRX's on TIGHT autocross tracks.. turbo lag is a bitch. But that might just be wishfull thinking.

No. It's not worth it to do anything all-motor with an RS. The only way to make your RS fast is a motor swap, really.

This is why I am trading my RS in for a WRX very soon

5 grand is a rip off, a motor swap really isnt that hard you just need a few friends and beer and your off. the only hard part is the wiring harness but since the body is the new age style who knows if its plug and play

i didnt say a swappp at a shopppp, i said a garage one to be honest i dont think they are as hard as you think they are if you have help. just the harness is the pain. a motor complete would be like 3k tops so if you did it yourself well not much more
