Default Someone in boone... Need a lil help today

Anyone got a jack and jackstands that I could borrow for a lil bit. Got a lil coolant leak and want to get it fixed before I head home today. I'm not 100% sure but I think it's the lower radiator hose.

Thanks for the offer for help Jeff. Nice seeing ya at Wally World. I think I have it squared away, at least for now. Picked up a set of cheapie jack stands for 9 bucks and slapped an extra clamp on that bottom hose. Just for good measure I put a bit of stop leak something or other into the system. Should be enough to get me home so I can pull the radiator and see what's up.

I'm more than happy to give a ride... as soon as I'm not leaking coolant all over the damn place. I hope my patching job holds up well enough to get me back to Charlotte. Then I can get this radiator out and see what the deal is. Very odd... didn't hit anything and I can't think of any reason for it to have cracked. Maybe it was just the hose, but I like to play devils advocate.

We'll definitely have to get a lil Boone dinner meet planned again. I'm up here pretty much every weekend so whenever is fine for me.

You do realize that your dealership will be putting about 10 bottles of stop leak in cars a day?

I made it back about 30 minutes ago. Never had a chance to really check out the radiator. I'll yank it tomorrow night and have a look. I forget exactly which brand of stuff I put in there. Some kind of copper looking metal flake deal. Trust me, I have no intentions on keeping it in the system. Most brands tell you to flush the system immediately after it sets. Coolant level stayed the same all the way home so either that clamp I added to the lower hose or the goop I put in the coolant fixed it. Now to figure out which one it was.

Thanks guys for the offers of help. Nice having a community where everyone looks out for each other.

Is that the same radiator that took the rock in it last year?
