Default Seat options for a FXT?

I'm thinking about picking up an 05 FXT, and I was wondering if there were any seat swap options available.

Specifically I'm thinking an 04/05 WRX seat would be nice. Would that be a direct swap?

Thanks.

Ya, that should be a direct swap. The new forester seats are based off of the same seat mechanisms I believe.

I was thnking of replacing my GT seats with a pair of 03 STI seats. It would have been a direct replacement, but then I couldn't figure out how to get the around the airbag warning light. Since the GT seats have airbags and the STI seats don't, insurance was also going to be an issue in event of an accident.

Default 2001 forester seat swap

would STi MY2004 seats, be a direct swap for the MY2001 Forester (2.5- U.S.) with side airbags.
Do any STi seats have side airbags ??
I guess they don't have a heated Sti seat either, I'd have to give that up.

The seats that come in the Forester aren't really all that bad though. I guess you may be looking for more side bolstering?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, but I should probably give them another chance...

I own both a Forester XT, and an '04 STi. I find the Forester's seats to be slightly snugger, and better bolstered. Definately better lumbar support in the FXT.

Really? Man, I guess I need to really give an FXT some more seat time...

I definatly like the XT seats better than the USDM STI seats... The JDM STi's on the other hand, those are awesome

You know, now that I think about it, I sat in a 2004 with a premium package, meaning it was an XS. So I haven't even tried an XT yet!

Nevermind!

I like the 2002 WRX seats better than my '05 FXT. Feels like you sit "IN" WRX seats, and "ON" FXT seats. I like the power driver seat feature, though!

For spirited driving, I do think the FXT seats are lacking. But until the WRX comes with heated seats that plug into the Forester's leads, I'm content to bolster myself with my knees.

I know I am going to get an ear full for this, but the EVO seats were increadible when I test drove one. No need for a racing harness in that car! I didn't even move when tossing the car around at high speed on a nice twisty road.
