y would you want the shifter feel to be more like the evo?? I tried my friends evo out and the shifter is a bit to notchy for me, unlike the STi's silky smooth shifting. But if you wanna tighten things up you can also go with the new kartboy shifter bushings.

i have an evo
they are cable shift VS linkage with the subies. i'd say try a set of shifterbushings first. their cheap and fairly easy to install. were working on a short shifter at the moment but no release date just yet.

we've done a lot to the EVO shifter too. its feeling pretty good now too.

how many miles are on your STi? it takes a little time for everything to wear in nicely.

Try to pour some dirt past the boot into the linkage.
Oh yeah, then ram it from first to second over and over until the throws are longer and it grinds a bit.

Throw the Kartboy bushing on the stock shifter and it'll make it more precise/notchy. While I don't think it'll feel JUST LIKE an Evo's throw it'll be a huge step in the right direction. HTH.
