What does a Ram Pod air intake do?

what are the advantages and disadvantages of having it?

on a side note....you got to see the hood scoop made by some dude in the general forum. it's pretty sweet

the rampod is just mrts name for thier intake but you can get it with the scoop.. i have the scoop from the kit but not the rampod intake i use mine with a turn3 and a minnam pipe

yes it really makes the top end better but it losses some low end... i am happy with it
