Default STI exhaust on '04 WRX

Hey guys... I decided Im going to pick up a brand new 04 wrx. Im pumped... anyways. lol. My buddy has an STI and hes got his old exhaust laying around.. he said i can have it. Couple questions here.. will it fit? will it sound diffrent? will it add any power? Thanks guys for your help.

Alright thanks for the replys.. will the exhaust be a bit louder.. Im not talking HKS loud or anything... but any noteable increase? Thanks guys.

it sounds a bit deeper, but nothing to write home about. not much difference at all in either power or sound.

There is a sound increase, but it's not loud. You can't really notice the increase in the car only if your standing outside.

It would HAVE TO pick up at least a few HP, it is bigger, which means it will flow a touch more, and more post turbo flow = more power. Maybe not a lot, but at least a few hp. Most likely not very noticeable though.
Still, for free, its a very worthy upgrade

I'm picking up a STi Exhaust this afternoon, with the intention of gutting the down pipe and then installing on our '04 WRX. I'm admittedly new turbocharged cars, but should I expect to deal with "boost creep" after such a modification?

I used to rock it.. it added a LITTLE noticeable gain on the butt dyno. Sound is minimal but noticeable. If you guys want, I have the whole turboback for sale in NJ.

yeah.. i was also thinking... what happens when I add an aftermarket down pipe and up pipe to this combo? Im kind of looking for the stealth way... cops around these parts are in pain in the ass!
