Question Engine stutters after filling-up?

Nothing major, but when I fill up occasionally my car stutters ever so slightly while at a constant speed. Especially 35-45mph. After a little while or getting on the highway it smooths out and runs great.

Do these symptoms sound like they may relate to a bad/old fuel filter? Anything else?

Any comments or similar experiences do tell, thanks.

I have the same problem. Only seems to happen if I run it all the way down to fumes. My fuel filter was changed 20K ago. If I had to guess I'd say it has to do with the fuel pressure differance between a full and empty tank.

If anyone has a better answer or a solution I'd love to hear it.

Yeah it has always been after a complete fillup. Another thing to mention is that the fuel gauge hadn't reached the full-point before I started driving. I'm guessing just a touchy ecu. Thanks for the reply CSM101.

Not to dis anyone, but how could it be the IAC if it ONLY happens briefly after a fill up? At no other time does it behave odd. It must be something involved in the differance between a empty and full tank.

I noticed mine does the same thing after fill-up, but it only seems to happen at speeds around 45 mph like you said. Doesn't last very long though

yes, it's the difference of fuel pressure supply, I don't know the particulars
