Very quick story...
Neighbor called the police, a single Fremont police officer came out. Only ticket given out was to a maxima (I think that was the car), since the owner wasn't there to move it. He mentioned that how we were parking needed to be altered (2 car deep, on the sidewalk in a few cases). The officer was actually very professional IMO. I wish I got his name or badge #. I dunno who called them, but it seemed more than a little rude to just call the police instead of just asking people to move...

We don't know EXACTLY who called, but best guess was the house two doors down. They were doing construction on something, and had a pretty good size truck back into the court right after the police officer left.
Yes, I do like uniforms..... just on women. In general, I haven't found a place I have lived that hasn't had at least one neighbor that just like to call the police for everything that bothers them. Only problem is now living in a place which I don't know any of them. ![]() Philip |

Not to defend your neighbor, but cars parked double wide and on sidewalks sounds kind of 'high profile'. A lot of non motorports enthusiasts are negativly aware of 'street racers', so when a bunch of club members decend on the neighborhood it seems likely that someone will bitch about it, even if everyone is polite and behaves themselves.
Maybe flyers dropped in all the neighbors mailboxes a few days earlier would defuse that situation for the next Install-Fest-O-Ramma before it ever happens. It sounds like it was a good time even if the Man had to show up. |

Yes. We caused <a href="http://feh.unwireit.com/~andrew/iclub/DCP_0388.JPG">this</a>.
![]() The ticket was for parking backwards. Daniel narrowly escaped by moving quickly, and attaching his license plate at a weird angle ![]() [Apologies for the size... need time to shrink things!] |

wow, looks like a near-riot down there!
![]() Sounds like the Man (& apparently Woman) decided to get nit-picky since there wasn't anything better to do at the fest. |

Doh. Evilblen beat me to posting the cop shot. Oh well.
Brucelee - Did I meet you? I was the guy who took 3 hours to do the frickin' boost gauge install in my black WRX wagon. You were one of the guys I wanted to meet, but I never heard your name there... I'll post the intake removal install photos when I've got a free moment - hopefully sometime tomorrow. |

LOL! I hate punk neighboors
![]() I guess I should host one of these, cause we live on a corner and have a 3-car garage with space for 3 cars in the driveway, and can fit like 15 cars on the street JUST in front of the house! And, were cool with all our neighboors, hehe (Like everyone here does work on their cars, and our adjacent neighbor is a Mechanic for volvo and does stuff all the time ) LOL! |

i wish i could have been there guys, looks like it was a real nice turnout. i guess we can start to rank the turnouts of the install fests by how many neighbors or druglords oops, i mean landlords
call the police.but yeah, id be happy to host an install fest next time around. i dont have all the necessary tools but I have a 3 car garage that has room for 2 cars and we can park a couple cars along the street, and as far as I know, my neighbors wouldnt care. |

You should have all taken a picture with the cop or around the cop car! I've done that before! The cop parked his car in the middle of our cars and even turned on his blue and red lights for us! Real cool guy! I wish I could find that pic!

Gee: I'm not sure anyone was game do that
![]() Given that: - Brucelee was moving his car, finding his front license plate (oh and hiding his stash! )- Idjiit was under orders to get his front wheel back on (in the middle of an intake silencer removal) - Impboy was worrying about his exhaust - Various people were getting warnings about clear corners and the like. Keep in mind that Fremont police are... well... Fremont police ![]() Having said that, the guy seemed fairly cool, and only made a few idle threats ("If I come back in 15 minutes and...") sirfrankwilliams:
It was a cul-de-sac, so two deep could happen without really obtructing TOO much, and the cars that were parked on sidewalks were really in driveways. There no driveway access was blocked by any of the cars. The cop complained that Idjiit's car was blocking the sidewalk, and that it had to be moved as soon as he got his front wheel back on. To the cops defense, he did let everyone who was in trouble move their car and didn't just start writing tickets. He grumbled some, but could have done much worse. He did mention that if he got called back, he was not saying word one, and just writing tickets. |

Concillian, you know I didn't mean to insinuate you guys were being a bunch of punks. I saw the pics and it all looked harmless to me. I just wanted to suggest how to carry on next time without the Man showing up.
