Origionally posted at http://www.accessecu.com/update-subaru1.html

The much anticipated ProTuner software for the Subaru models is still under development but is progressing rapidly. Originally, we were developing the WRX and new Throttle-By-Wire models (STI, etc) as separate software packages due to the considerable differences between these two ECUs. However, we have re-evaluated this and have decided it would be best to package all the new Subaru models into one comprehensive software package. This will require more work before it can be released to the public but we feel it will represent a much better value to the end users. Currently, we are targeting a mid-Summer release date. As we near our deadline, we'll be able to post a more definite release date.

Below are screen shots of the ProTuner. Once released, it will have the optional capability to tune the following ECUs (North American spec):

2002-newer WRX
2004-newer STI
2004-newer Forester XT
2004-newer Baja Turbo
2005 Legacy GT
2005 Outback XT
1999-2005 2.5L SOHC models
All H6 3.0L models

I love Cobb, but have learned it isn't out until it is out. They promised the 2.5RS AccessECU and turbo kit going on two years ago...

yeah. cobb. awesome company, NOT! i got yelled at by them on their forum (Matt prob read this) for talking smack cause they said their turbo kit would be out second quarter of 03 and it was way past then, and ah. yeah. they claimed they never said that, but it was right on their home page. more or less they have just pissed me off alot. their CAI for the MAF cars has been under development for about 2 years now. not hard to drill a hole in a pipe. seriously. well, enought complaining about a company that i have no faith in. GO I-SPEED!!!!! (sorry for all the ! hope i dont give anyone a heart attack)

Pshhhhhhhhh, the DOHC RS gets screwed once again.

BTW: Cobb claimed for years that they were in the final stages of testing a cold air intake for the 98-99 RS. I gave up after waiting about 2 years.

for the 2000+ crowd they should package the reflash with injectors that way we can ditch the RRFPRs and possibly raise boost to the 9psi range like in the ludespeed stage 3 kits

So the reflash will add the ability to tune for postive manifold pressure (i.e. boost) or just get the most out of an NA car?
