Default Put that Subie on a diet! Shed 20 lbs.

This battery package comes with the lightest automotive battery on the market, weighing in at only 11.5 lbs (shedding 20 lbs off the nose of the vehicle; every last bit of weight counts), and all the parts you need for installation into your STI or WRX, including automotive posts and nylon spacers to take advantage of your factory battery mounting hardware (this can be modified for use in other vehicles).

[b]Edit: Special Group Order Pricing No longer available.

Credit card payments can be sent to creditcardpayments @ kingofimports.com. Please add 3.9% to cover paypal fees.

Verified funds payments can be sent to cashpayments @ kingofimports.com

Put ATTN Jeff'S Group Buy at the top of the body.

Specs:
Voltage: 12
AH: 15
PCA: 700 Pulse Cranking Amps
CCA: 360 Cold Cranking Amps
Length: 5.8”
Width: 3.3”
Height: 5.9:
Weight: 11.5 lb or 5.2kg
Use: Road Racing, Drag Racing, Rally Racing, Auto-Cross and Daily Use.

360 CCAs
Gell mat sealed battery (can be drained multiple times like an Optima)

1 year free replacement warrenty

Those that have stereo systems in excess of 1000 watts are recommended to use two Braille batteries and relocate them to the trunk, shedding 32.5 lbs. off the front end and removing ~10 lbs from the vehicle. In those applications, the batteries are usually displayed in the trunk next to amplifiers or speakers to add to the ‘show’ aspect of the vehicle since the batteries are actually quite small and look nice next to a custom stereo installation. This battery trades reserve capacity for weight. It is 'insanely small' and cranks both the WRX and STI motors like a champ.

Are you still selling the batteries? If so I might be interested in buying a couple off of you. How do they compare in size to a Honda battery? My brother has an APS front mount and it requires a smaller battery, and if it is the same size or smaller then it would be perfect.

What keeps the battery from moving side to side?? I highly doubt it'd move but ya never know. I'm scared it might fail SCCA tech.

Yes, we were at a Rally this weekend, but back now to answer your questions:

Rippa-Yes we are still selling these. Follow the payment instructions above. Batteries orders are processed on Sundays for shipment the next week unless you email kevin @ kingofimports.com and arrange otherwise.

Rizzo314-yes, the batteries are still for sale and will be for awhile. We have a asked www.kingofimports.com to supply these to our customers. Both they and Braille stand behind the prducts they sell. This is probably smaller than your brother's battery--they do not get much smaller than this.

mykrrrr---These things will not move at all when you use the pad and spacers provided by Braille. The battery is insanely light and takes a chunk of weight off the front end. The Braille Battery Package is complete and does not require additional parts like most other kits. When you install it, make sure to use the pad and tighten it down a reasonable amount. You will notice that the battery has nowhere to go. Braille stands behind its products.

Kwyjibo---Call me about current transmissions:

"This battery trades reserve capacity for weight."

How quickly does it drain if not driven? Is it really feasible as a daily driver - if you go on holiday for a week will your car still start when you get back? Also, is there a handy charging device available?
Thanks.

My buddy works at a Subaru / VW dealership and he said that the VW part sells a battery charger that plugs into your cigarette lighter. It is a solar panel that keeps the battery charged enough so that it can start. I presume it would work on this battery the same way it does on "normal" sized batteries.

Braille offers a 1 yr free no hassle replacement warranty. They are the only company that does this. This is one reason why I brought this battery to the attention of the Subaru community. I am not sure how quickly it drains if not driven, but the battery provides sufficient juice. Braille has tested this battery in virtually every climate and the battery has stood its ground. That is why Braille is willing to back its products more than any other manufacturer.

If you are looking for the best charger, I would recommend:

http://www.partsamerica.com/PartDeta...egoryCode=3014

It is one of the few chargers that stops charging when your battery has a full charge and turns back on when the voltage drops below a minimum level. This maintains the longevity of the battery. Use it on your stocker when the Braille is in your car and you are driving it.

This IS suitable for daily driving. I have several customers that are driving around with these. The batteries are 'insanely small.' In fact, when it arrives you will know even realize that is the battery that has been delivered.

I hope this helps.
