Default Magnecor wires from a '98 fit a '99 RS?

I just bid on an auction for 98 Impreza 2.5 RS Magnecor Plug Wires and then it occured to me that even though the '98 and the '99 use very similar engines, they are not identical. Does anyone know if those wires will fit my '99 RS? My car has 61000 miles on it and it is recommended that you replace plug wires at every 60000miles...

They most likely will not fit. They MY98's were DOHC, whereas the MY99's were SOHC.

True but there is a chance they will fit. The Magnecore wires are acutally longer than the stock wires...but not by a few inches so you're still taking a risk.
