Unhappy Clutch pedal not coming back up

I have an Exedy clutch and it has been working wonderfully for the past 10 months. But now the clutch pedal won't come back up unless I use my foot to bring it up. Other then that the clutch works fine.

What is the problem and what is the solution?

Thanks.

Jaz

So something would be wrong with the hydraulic system.

Any other possible cause?

It's the clutch slave cylinder if it's not air in the system.

Post RE:

I agree. I had to replace my slave cylinder. I did the following: Check your pedal, bleed the system, check slave cylinder.
If either of these is the cause than you will find it in that direction.

That's it, the slave cylinder is shot. Will be replaced. Everything else it fine.

Thanks for the help.

Ok...the other night I was driving my car pretty hard.....I have recently changed to an Exedy Flywheel and Clutch. Once I had been driving for a few minutes the clutch went to the floor and didn't come back up until I put my toe under it and kinda popped it up.....like it has a spring that didn't engage but then did once my foot was under it.....I have just under or at 21,000 miles. Is this similar.....I didn't bleed my clutch when I replaced it...should I have done this/do it now just because I replaced it?? Thanks

No need to bleed or change the fluid when changing the clutch or flywheel. My clutch would engage but the pedal would not come back up more then an inch maybe. In the past year, the clutch pedal stayed to the floor at least once that I can remember. Worked fine after that until now. Maybe it is a first sign of the slave cylinder going? I don't know.
