Here in Southern California we paid $27014 for ours before tax and license for an XT with premium package with armrest, filtration, bumper guard, differential protector, splash guards, upgraded security system and the rubber mat in the rear area. Might be a bit more, but they are in shorter supply here and we had to wait for one to come-in for about a month. I think we paid a bit more than we should have, but we will be doing our servicing there and this the deal we accepted....it is $575 over invoice.

Since you're in Indiana, I suggest you email Royal Subaru in Bloomington. Just go to their website and do the request a quote thing. I did that with a number of dealers including Tom Wood and Rohrman. I didn't even have to haggle with Royal, they offered one with a 5-spd and a couple options for $24,011. Tom Wood wanted $25,500 for a "demo" with 5k miles on it, and Rohrman pretty much ignored me after their first response. Needless I drove down to Bloomington from Muncie to buy from Royal. Anyway, I'd do the same thing, email all the local dealers and see who can get you the best deal.
