Default FAT stage 1

I just got my FAT stage one kit and i have been putting it on today and when i got to intalling the down pipe i find that the pipe is about 7 inches too short of attaching to the exhause and the flang is different than my exhaust. just wanted to ask if anyone has any ideas. do i have the wrong down pipe or what thanks for any help.

are you supposed to be using your stock cat section? that does seem strange, do you have any pics, are you possibly confusing the up pipe with the downpipe(dont know how thats possible)

no they make the kits "universal" so you WILL HAVE TO GO TO A MUFFLER SHOP and have them weld on the extra section. I called robert when I put on my stage 3 and I was kind of pissed that he didn't make it mount up... but he said that a muffler shop would weld on a pip for about 20 bucks.. and they did.. everything works fine.. the only thing that sucks is when you drive to the muffler shop you exhaust is extremely loud, but who cares you have a turbo now right?

Yep, same here.


I got the stage I, and it wasn't long enough and I was originally pissed. I called Robert, and he said that he wanted to make sure no one was running less than a 2.5" exhaust. This forces you to go to the exhaust shop and have it extended.

No big deal. I just had an entire custom exhaust made while I was at it...
