Yep. I just ordered the air deflector for the roof. It shipped the next day & they emailed me the UPS tracking #. I expect it to arrive this week.
I'll post if there's any problem with it. Jim |

Ordered the security system upgrade and locking lugnuts through them. No problems, fast handling of the order. I wouldn't hesitate to order more gear though them!

I have to ditto Pow's comments. I got my roof deflector pretty fast. It's a Subaru labeled part so it's no knock-off (unless they scammed the box & the logo on the part). The installation directions they included were clear & well illustrated.
I had a question about something else which I posted in an email and they got back to me next day (I posted it at night). I also found out that the hood deflector comes in a turbo-specific model but they didn't have it listed. So I asked if they handled it & they emailed me the next day with a "yes" and updated their website to include a selection option for choosing either the standard or turbo version. Pretty responsive from my perspective. No issues here. Jim |

FYI subarupartsforyou.com is less expensive and has great service. I purchased several items and did not like one of them and sent it back and got credited within a week. These were all OEM parts with very good instructions.

Hmm... www.subarupartsforyou.com seems to have comparable prices to www.autowebaccessories.com on the parts I ordered (-.50 on one, +1.00 on the other) but the note about how well they treated your return is a plus. I also noticed that they sell the OEM side mirrors, without or with heat! This is something that I miss from my previous vehicle, an Isuzu Amigo. I wonder what it would take to get these installed in my Baja? I know the knockout for the switch is on the driver's door between the window and mirror controls, I wonder if the wiring harness that is through the car has the necessary connections?

I'm with you about the heated mirrors. I miss those from my VW. I would suspect the wiring is in the door already. We just need the switch and the mirror. The wiring for the optional trailer hitch is already there (at least up to a connector by the spare tire, the external harness is extra) and the wiring for the auto-dimming mirror is already buried in the headliner (up in the cavity behind the lights & sunroof controls). I hate to waste a perfectly good regular mirror though. |

I have had the door off and the wireing is not there. I looked for it. but the wireing can definatlly been added to it so it can be used. I was thinking about that for myself so I took the pannel off and found that the wireing harnes is not there, unless it plugges into the current wireing harnes for the windows and door locks.

You could also be right that it plugs into the window/lock wiring harness. The subwoofer does that (the connector that goes into the radio is removed, plugged into one of 3 connectors the subwoofer wiring has -- one connector goes into the radio & one into the subwoofer). |

nope, I took off my side mirrors and there is only a cable running there for the power mirrors. I didn't find anything that would indicate a wireing harnes for heated mirrirs. But I need to make some changes to my door soon and I will take pictures this time for everyone to see.

Anyone know if there is a Benchley Manual available on the Baja? That should have the info we need about the heated mirrors.
The other good thing would be if there's someone who works in a Subaru dealer's service dept who could look up the tech info on what we'd need to order (switch, harness) and how it connects. Jim |

I have a hunch that in order to save space and the cost of different harnesses that wiring for heated mirrors may be included in the wiring for the power mirror controls. I should be pulling my door panels off soon (speaker upgrades), can look at my wiring and count conductors. If there are any Canadians out there that have the heated mirror option and can check their wiring it should be a quick detail to confirm. (quick assuming the door panel is already off...) 1 or 2 connectors, how many wires in the connector, wire colors if we really want to get detailed...
