Default air temp sensor

thanks to subafastr for tellin me i need an intake temp sensor for my link to function correctly, i found out its in the maf assembly...

is there another sensor i can mount, with the same signals as a stocker, w/o using that stupid maf tube?

99 are MAFs or are Link Pluses only for MAF systems?

I am asking because I am relatively an idiot when it comes to cars, and you said something about a MAF assembly when I thought 99+ RSes were MAP based.

yeah, that's what the miata guys use. ALso the SCC car with the kit back in the day used it as well. I have one for my car but have not yet installed it.
