I will be there.. Group 3 #57. Also working safety crew and bbq. Hoping to have my '80 Celica coupe trackworthy by then. If not, it's the WRX.

They aren't doing drift sessions again are they? Damn that was annoying.

I'm planning to be there too, #177. This'll be my first time in group 3. Hopefully I'll have my Cobb BBK and STi takeoffs installed by then.

I'm in - number 1. Group 3.

Ken Lewis will be there as well with his blue bomb.

This one-day event should fill fast. No race groups, just HPDE!

Has anyone run with this organization before? How many do they allow at a time on the track? What are the diffences between the two intermediate run groups? Thanks, Brian

I've been to 7 HPDEs with NASA and haven't been disappointed. It's probably around 25 cars on the track at a time.

Group 2 usually runs at the same time as Group 1, so passing is limited to the straights and it's a slower pace. Group 3 is in a separate group and has more liberal passing zones as the day goes on.

You can read more about HDPE here.

Thumbs up

I have been a NASA member since 1992, and they have come a long way to be the club that they are today. I don't know any other clubs out there that provide the professionalism that they do along with such good services and prices. I have probably been to over 50 HPDEs with NASA, and I have never been disappointed.

Haha then you have prolly seen me serving snacks at the bbq's. I have to agree with your comments. It's also a great atmosphere at the track (s) as far as a group goes and everyone willing to pitch in or help.

I got my Celica mostly bolted back together so if I can change my front brakes out in time, it will be bright yellow '80 Celica coupe #57 in Group 3. I will of course bring my WRX key fob to properly represent. Too bad I don't have a BAIC shirt.. Already seen a few at parties.

Ken Levin,

Are you taking that pretty white car back out on the track that bit it?! You know my number. I'll be waiting for your call.

Have fun!

Of course! "Sears Point" is still one of my favorite tracks.

BTW Gary, the car is great. It aligned perfectly. Thanks for your excellent work. Let me know if you're still available, and I will spread the word.

Happy Motoring!

When you register at www.nasaproracing.com, there's somewhere where you can enter your preferred car #'s (you get 3 choices). They'll assign you one from that list.

If you haven't chosen a number, then you'll probably get an email from one of the NASA guys asking you to choose one.

See ya there.

For those of you going this Sunday, can I get a ride from you on track if we are not in the same group? I'm in group 3, but not sure whether 3a or 3b. I'll be there in my red CRX, and I just want to see how the WRX handles on track. If you can inspire some confidence in my, maybe I'll take the WRX next time out.

I'm in group 3 too, but if we're not in the same group then I'd be happy to give you a ride. I'm a white WRX, #177

Just from the count on this thread. Looks like at least nine of us will be there. I haven't met anyone from this board before except for the two times that I bought some parts. Hope to meet all you guys there.

Ya man, I hope you are OK. I have no idea what happened, but it looked like you maybe dropped your outside tire coming out of turn 6. There was a lot of body damage and what looked like no structural damage (which is good to know).

And Stock Y-Gon, I hope you are alright as well. I was getting a ride in the NSX and saw you stuff it in turn 11.

Drive safe everyone.
