Default is it possible to buy a 6spd tranny case from subaru?

ie. a 6spd sti tranny gutted of all internals.

my local dealer parts dept. is too busy to even give me the time of day

found one possible has an accident-damaged case. internals are good.

and then there is another that was cannibalized for the case and the internals are all that is left

ne1 out there know? or might know someone with a terminal 6spd with a good case they want to let go of?

I'm sure there are part numbers for the individuals pieces of the case. Whether or not you can purchase them piece by piece is another question. It'd probably cost more than it's worth.

Benjamin,

You have PM.

You can buy the USDM case parts from the dealer.
Just the case itself runs close to $800 without the tailshaft.

The clutch portion runs $350, the adapter portion runs $350, the main case runs $500, and the tail housing runs $150. This of course does not include the fun bits like the oil seperator plate, oil pump, lines, or gaskets you will need as well . These are all list prices BTW.

I dunno . I just went piece by piece front to back, and that's what I came up with. There are four major case pieces, with two seperator portions in total that I found. My parts book was updated just a week or two ago.

He was looking at their computer which he'd just done an update on this week. Thanks Brian.
