Yeah, that's about right.

That sux, man. I think Safelite also provides side windows in addition to windshield glass. If you are handy with a wrench you can do the installation yourself and get the adjustment perfect. I can lend you the repair manuals (for an '02, but it should be pretty similar) if you want.

Did you have a car alarm?

And this, BTW, is why I always get mad at my g/f when she leaves her purse in the car.

Consider yourself lucky.

At least 3 huge black guys didn't try to mug you in SF at 1:00 AM

Have a Nice Day?

Aww, sorry to hear about that... Did the glass scratch up your paint? Did you have an alarm? Good luck on getting it fixed.

anyways, i do have an alarm. but whats alarm going to do when these thugs really want your stuff? it won't stand a chance! if they have their eyes on your stuff, they are still going to break in and take whatever they can!
eh, at least they didn't take my wallet, cell phone and cds!

anyways, now the window is fixed and im quite happy!

FWIW alarms are completely 100% absolutely USELESS against a professional. Even if the car was in your front yard and you heard it go off they would be long gone with your GF's purse before you had a chance to even look out the window. You might get a look at a license plate as they're speeding off but there's a good chance the car is stolen as well.

I'm really sorry to hear about your misfortune though, crime really sucks. At least the repair cost wasn't too bad. Actually if your GF had ID and credit cards in her purse it sounds like she may have received the short end of the stick <eek>.

Cheers, Joe
