Default Azenis load ratings?

I've heard some talk about the Azenis Sport 205/55-16's load rating not being up to the task of supporting the WRX.

Is this the case? I'm looking to get a set, primarily for autocross, but I'll also be putting some street miles on them in the summer.

Thanks for any info.

You should get the 215/45/16s for autox.

According to falkentires.com the 205 has a 1279 load rating, while the 215 has a 1168 load rating, both of which should be plenty enough for the WRX.

Why the 215 then?

Although I'm trying to pick up a set of RS wheels, in which case I'll run the 225's...

They are wider + shorter. That is the ideal combo.

What 225 azenis would you run on the RS wheels??

Heh. Duh... yeah, there's no 225/16 azenis. In which case I'd still have to run the 215.

The 215s would be even wider on the 7" RS wheels, but they will also work just fine on the WRX 6.5" wheels.

Are you recommending 16" wheels for STX?

The conversation didn't have anything to do with classing...

If you're running STX, run the widest tire you can get under the fenders.

No, STX most likely

I'm just trying to do so as cheaply as possible. I'm already running STI v8 takeoffs, so I'm well out of DS.

What 16" wheel did you find to fit a subbie that you can run a 245 on?
