Question Borla headers/ sound?

Ok I have searched for this, and all I can find are it makes it louder... Do borla headers give a 2.5RS the "WRX boxer sound?
I want the "brup brup brup brup brup" sound that a WRX has with exhaust,.. I know that sounds corney, but I DO DAMNIT!!! anyway will I acheive this sound if I install headers? I already have a FAT stage 3 turbo kit, and apexi N1 exhaust..??

Yo...

On my stage 2 with a 3" Stromung (from when the car ran), it deepend the tone. I'm gonna guess that with the Apexi it will make it louder (slightly) and deeper. It's gonna be dependant upon the cat in the FAT kit, which for the life of me I can't remember who makes it.

I'd give you a sound clip of my car..... but it would be empty.

I currently have the Borlas with a custom 2 1/4" + high flow CAT + Magnaflow muffler (still N/A at the moment), and the sound from this at less than 4000RPM is so low that it's uncomfortable. I'm currently driving around with a trunk full of removalist blankets to reduce the resonance through the car!
I'm really hoping that the imminent inclusion of an up pipe, down pipe and turbine will remove some of the low frequency, otherwise I'll be looking to make some changes to the setup.

I thought that being unequal length brought out the boxer sound moreso than equal length headers. I have borla, but have not completed the rest of the exhaust yet, so it is not loud, but I can hear the brup brup sound more

I have a ludespeed tubo kit with borla headers and a 3in custom made catback with an Apex N1 muffler. I used to have a Cobb tuning cat back and I get a lot of complements about the sound of my car. It was deep tone.

I change to Apex and I got the WRx boxer sound ( this is what you're looking for) but it is loud. I have a resonator that is about 22 in long and still the car is loud but the sound is so nice that probably you wont care!!

Hope this help!!

To finally answer yor question...yes...the unequal length design of the borlas will give you that boxer grumble.

I got the Apex'i N-1/borla combo and 2.5 inch all around no cats and to be quite honest I think the turbo has made the car slighty quieter once the turbo spools up and the RPM's go up at 4000 the car just explodes into that WRX boxer sound (at least somewhat like it) but since the EJ25 in the RS is a SOHC I don't think we are trully going to get that deep EJ20 sound since it is a DOHC...of course I could wrong about that...I'll see if I can post some sound clips of my setup...
