Default Hello from PG, good shops out west?

I am the proud owner of a one month old WRX wagon and I am just loving it. After 6 years of buying vehicles due to family needs, it's made me look forward to driving again.
Prince George is pretty much equal from Cowtown, Oiltown and Seattle North, and I was wondering if anyone had any experienced shops/garages in any of those places that they would recommend for mods when/if I'm travelling through. Nothing silly, just exhaust level work, mainly.
Thanks

Nicholas

Well if by exhaust level work you mean getting a new exhaust put on, you can just order the exhaust yourself and put it on or bring it to someone who can (Midas, etc.)

Same thing goes with downpipe/uppipe, get it yourself online and then have it installed at a mechanics.

You don't need a special "tuning shop" to do work like that, unless of course you want your stuff custom fabricated, in which case yea you'd probably have to find someone reputable and can deliver a product that's good and to your spec/liking.

ahha!!! Another PG'er...I own the STi that's running around PG. I have seen you car in Parkwood Mall once before...VERY nice!!

The best install shop in Prince George is PG Autotech on 3rd Ave. They have installed a tranny, clutch, top end, and just about everything else in my BMW and they have also installed a stage 1 kit, brakes, exhaust, coilovers...on my now traded '02 WRX. This year will include springs, Vishnu TBE, Xede computer and misc parts on my STi. Thay are the BEST shop you will find in Prince George...IMHO.

PM if you have any questions at all!!

welcome to the forum!!!

mike

Thanks Mike! Even better answer than I was expecting. Checking around, it seemed that we are well set here if you want to squeeze 450 horses out of your truck.

Keiho, I was meaning up and down-pipe. You'd really trust Midas with that?? I certainly wouldn't trust them with much to be honest. Wasn't really needing a tuning shop. This is my daily driver and back up family car, so I am not looking to be ambitious at all. Just feel better getting things done by someone who's been inside the hood of a Sccoby before. Tends to save time and hassle.

Well, the good thing is, if I had a turbo car, I know where to bring it to for install...and it isn't Midas.

Just that it's a last resort you know?

You'd be surprised at some of the cars these Midas type places see...and I figure, if the install is easy enough to be done in a day by a DIY enthusiast, a properly trained mechanic with the right equipment and tools will definitely be able to get the job done.
