Default Turbo my 2002 2.5rs

I'm interested in piecing togther my own turbo for my 02 2.5rs. I'm only looking to run 5-6lbs of boost tops for right now. as of right now im not planning to run internals just keep the stock ones. do you recommend that to be a good idea or no? Who is running a turbo on their 2.5 with low boost and what are you running?

thanks, all posts are appreciated

im in the process of turboing my 03 2.5RS right now...i need i gather parts that im missing from the Kit...got everything excep the voltage clamp...you should be pushing 4-6lbs safe without a short block swap...just dont push too high or your motor will blow up...

PS..you from wisconsin?? i used to live in wisconsin...

Just remember fellas about the supposed weak pistons, like everybody says it comes down to engine management, so don't skimp on that. Good luck

Yeah, waiting to get a summer job so i can get a haltech and get it tuned in nice and neat. only problem is i'm running a stock W's turbo so i'm going to be running 7-8 pounds, i'm told, so ah. that could be bad, but will see. short block after that. personally, i think you will get sucked into it and either sell the car for something like a W or STi or want more from your car. so i would say as long as it's tuned correctly 5-6 should let you run a good while before it blows. Good luck man.

Does anyone have instructions on how to install a turbo kit? I would like to build a kit myself. but I don't know all the pieces that I would need. I'm pretty quick to learn and understand all the parts purpose. If not, it will be and expensive lesson to the dealership.
