Question Auto HVAC self-diagnostic

Not sure everyone with auto climate control has seen this self-diagnostic thread on scoobymods:

http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2801

I found out about this diagnostic and ran it this morning, and after the end of the 6-step sensor check my def/heat light flashes continuously, which if I read the attachment in the above thread correctly means that my "sun load sensor" has a problem.

Any thoughts on this? Am I reading this correctly? The dealer just installed the factory boost gauge, did they somehow disconnect the sun load sensor?

Someone else had problems w/ their HVAC after a boost guage install. For them it seemed that they did not plug the harness back in all the way. When you install the gauge you have to remove the radio and the trim in front of it. That involves taking the HVAC harness off the controls. Wonder if they messed something up.

I have pics on the install of the guage on our site.

I just thought of something, the dealer also installed the air cleaner, did they have to unplug any harnesses when they were taking out the glovebox or working behind it?

I assume the Sun Load Sensor is the one up by the passenger side windshield, is that correct?

When doing the cabin air filter you don't have to unplug any harneses (that's not to say they didn't hit something by accident)

The sun load sensor it a plastic button looking thing on the dash by the glass.

Default Problem found - Sun Load Sensor must be tested in sun

Good news, the sun load sensor was working correctly but to test it you have to be out in the sun. When I checked it the first time I was in the garage, so the warning light from the diagnosis meant that the sensor wasn't sending a signal. I rested a spotlight on the window and voila, a signal, so all is working correctly.
