Default XT mods - soon to be done

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know that I will be making some serious mods to my XT in the next few months, but wanted some input from all of you as well.

Here is the list of things in Phase 1:

Sti Utec/W Remote Switch (turboxs)
vf 22 Tubro
745 injectors
Fuel pump
Hyperflow TMIC
Turbo back exhaust

Phase 2: (within next year or so)
Upgraded Tranny and torque converter
Bigger Brakes (as soon as I can afford them)
STi sway bar

Any input is welcome!

Kevin (XT AUTO - not stock for very long)

do the t/c mod and valve body in stage 1.the t/c is probably a better bank for the buck than the turbo.looks similiar to the mods i want to do to my auto xt.but i want the gt moto kit

And move the STi swaybar to Phase I. Although with more power, you also might want better brakes in Phase I was well.

Have you upgraded your tires yet?

Going to keep tires stock for now, basically I have the money and okay from the wife to do some mods. I will keep my foot off the gas (well at least most of the time) pretty much until everything is complete (phase 1 and 2) but at the moment I can really only afford Phase 1.

Based on your past experiences what do you think I will be running for horsepower? I have heard rumors that I might be looking at 300hp and 350 lbs of torque but only the dyno will tell us that once everything is done.

P.S. Any advice on the turbo - I have read here that VF22 is the one to have but many others like the VF34.

Thanks
Kevin

Check the specks of the I/C first, like how big it is. I know the APS top mount will not fit, the stock STi I/C will fit snugg.

Not sure, I have heard they are the same as the STi but I can't determine that at this time.

My tuner has used the HYPERFLOW on XT's before so I know it fits without any problems.
