i have a sparco 3 point driver side harness i tried installing but had no luck with. my problem was with the lap belt part of the harness. the drivers right side lap belt part of the harness, the section from the buckle to the mounting point, is longer than the left side which from what i have seen on other harnesses is correct. however, after i bolted each end of the lap belt to the factory seatbelt mounts the right side of the lap belt is still too long, even after being sinched up all the way. by the time i get the lap belt pulled tight enough by sinching up the left side lap belt, the right shoulder harness is pulled to the middle of my waist. i tried moving the belt mount to the seat bracket bolt on the right side slightly begind the driver on the sliding mechanism which took care of the slack but the belt mount was stuck in a really awkward, unsafe looking angle. is there another way i should be mounting the lap belt to get rid of this extra slack? i bought the harness off of a nasioc member so i cant return them. id like to make it work but not if its unsafe.
another question separate from the lap belt issue is the mounting point for the shoulder harness. the incredibly crappy instructions recommend using the rear seat lap belt location but i know schroth recommends the c-pillar. which would you recommend?
