Question New wheel bearing and hub: what cost?

The dealer is going to replace my front left wheel bearing and hub, which have failed in some way. What will the approx cost of this replacement be?

I have a 99RS with 23k miles.

tks!

The cost should be a big fat "FREE"!!! I had my rear drivers replaced for the first time at 36k and have done so a few more times since. It is at the dealer now getting a new hub, bearing, etc. at no cost to me. I also have the Fabulous '94 Saturn SC2 "sport coupe" as a loaner. I have not paid for any of these repairs, or the rental car due to warranty coverage. Of course, my dealer is fairly nice....they had my '97 Legacy OB in for a camshaft belt/water pump/oil pump check/oil change and didn't get it finished in time, so they gave me a 2000 Saab Turbo Convertible to drive for the day. (car was very soft and had zero traction...even with 17" rims and Dunlop W10's....lot's of turbo power, though! And a really cool top.) So anyway, you should not have to pay for this repair!!!!

Interesting about the wheel bearing at 23K. I have a '99 Forester S and just had the left rear wheel bearing replaced. And, yes it was done under warranty. What I did pay for was a 4-wheel alignment which was highly recommended. But should it have been included with the bearing replacement?? My dealer has been very decent and fair since we started driving Subarus (first was an '87 GL Wagon). But, dealers are dealers and need to be watched carefully.
Good Luck

FREE! It's under warranty. I had the right rear bearing replaced after 14K miles, should have had it replaced earlier since it starting making noise at around 11K. The dealer told me its a relatively common problem and posts on this board will confirm that. Haven't heard any confirmation if the problem is caused by poor installation or poor quality of bearing (i.e. seals, grease).
