Question What body mods are allowable in STS/STX?

Specifically STi hoodscoops on WRXs. Are those allowed? If so, then how many folks are using them to gulp more air down onto the intercooler while moving and vent more out while sitting still?

I don't have a current rulebook and moutons.org isn't always the most accurate.

That's why I was asking; I didn't know. I remember some body mods being allowed in STX...like wings or something? I forget.

Biggly's memory has teh suck.

body kits and wings are legal, but hood/trunk swaps are illegal along w/ any modifications to the existing hood (ala hood scoops or removing the backing plates on the old 2.5RS's).

Basically kits and wings fall under convienence. The other stuff is considered performance.

They shouldn't be, as they are actually an SM mod if the rules governing intakes haven't changed. I don't think that the port is offering the scoops as an option, albeit the actual dealers who are now more "STi" than in the past where we all had ot depend on overseas hookups to get the parts. If it IS IN FACT a factory or port (still considered factory by SCCA rules), then yeah, STi hood scoops are a go.
