Solid Aluminum End Links!
who has these links? i here they are the best things since sliced bread.. but i heard the ride is compromised. i am running the whiteline adj. bar on the 20mm setting and i'm not a super hardcore rally driver and i haven't caught the auto-x bug (yet!). So keep that in mind. And how good (or bad) are the whiteline links, i like the price! any info to help me make my decision will be greatly apreciated.

I was interested in those also...at one point. After lying under my car for many
hours and also watching those links bend and twist when jacking up the car I decided that solid links would take away a lot of the "play" in the rear end. I have 20mm rear sway bar and AGX's and to me that is enough for autox. I'm just guessing here, but would imagine that solid links would cause inside tire lift during hard cornering as well as side to side "camel ride" when negotiating certain terrain changes (i.e. driveways). I would imagine having to upgrade the sway bar mount bushings also...stiffness would probably mangle the stock ones. Ok, those with solid links, am I wrong? |

LOL NOSS...
Honestly... last weekend I ran an autocross with a 22mm rear sway bar setting and stock RE92's with OEM rear links. I brought the inside rear tire up off the ground 3-4" most people said. Honestly, if it is off the ground, chances are you don't need it on the ground. Endlinks in general create a better response to sudden actions (turning, etc) and IMHO make the car much more of a pleasure to drive. I am still awaiting rear links from Greg, but I have on MRT front links right now. They are ok, but I've got a solid set I made that I am going to put on soon, hopefully. Those will make my steering response even better. |

Wow! I don't know about NOT needing any of
tires on the ground but that 22mm bar must be a b*tch-slapper! I used to raise the inside rear on my VR6 Jetta all the time, but that was with full race suspension and a 29mm rear bar! Yiiihaaa, used to go up about a foot on real tight turns!Damn 8, with solid fronts & rears and upgraded suspensions we should be able to get a FRONT wheel lift too! Just like Porsches! |
