Tip is 90mm (3.5 inches) i think, i would have to run out to the garage to check though, as far as i know, they are all the same excpet for the joint where it joins your existing system.

Er sorry midrange power, its a turbo so i couldnt say if it harms that on your cars, but it did increase the performance of my car.

A 2.5RS with a Scoobysport should be much louder than a 22b with the same muffler because of the dampening effects of the turbo.

DOH!!!! forgot, our sport version, has no turbo and they make the same exhaust fit it, they are a bit louder due to the fact there is no turbo, as stated by Ridinlow.

i noticed no loss in low/mid range power. i replaced the mids also. as for the sound, i really like it. nothing else around here sounds like it: deep, not obnoxious at all.

Post Scooby Sport Exhaust Questions

Hello all,

Does anyone know what the tip diameter of the Scooby Sport is? Piping diamater is 2.5" I believe (is this correct?) And can anyone that has the Scooby sport tell me if they saw any decrease in low-mid range power? Are you running with or without a center pipe (and if so what diamater)? Finally, how do you feel about the sound? Too loud? does it drone? Is it annoying on long highway trips? Thanks guys and gals...

well... it wasn't my car, but i did drive it... not to mention spending a full day AT Scoobysport itself...

Squire's 22B has this exhaust.
It was NOT loud enough to be intrusive!! I was surprised by this!! and...
the tip on the exhaust is not very big at all... 2.5 sounds about right...
he has a downpipe on it, not sure of the size... and power...

well that's just not fair!! my god!! it's a 22B!!!

What ever happened to that sound clip that was floating around? This is going to be my next needless purchase, once I recover from the suspencion and wheels. I am buying an exhaust on sound alone, I don't think any of them increase power enough to justify buying for performance. I liked the Stromung, but everyone has that.

I looked at the Scooby Sport, but I couldn't justify the price - nearly $600 dollars for the muffler alone. Then I read SCC's review, in which they mentioned a rather poor weld job. While it could have been a fluke (it probably was), I decided to pay the extra 100 bucks and get the full Rallispec N1 catback.

The sound clip is over on the Checkpoint - it does sound good, but I think my N1 sounds just as good..

I will have a review of the scoobysport posted here next week. (wed or thurs)

It will be mounted on my N/A 1998RS in conjunction with a 60mm (2.36") resonated midpipe.

comparisons will be against the Apexi N1 system I have now.

Actually my 22B does NOT have the Scooby Sport exhaust.

What it has is the Scooby Sport Downpipe, which leads into the stock 22B exhaust.

Anders 22B does have the full Scoobysport downpipe and exhaust and it is very loud and intrusive

Thanx everyone,

Now I just need to find someone local with the Scooby Sport system so I can hear it in person.

Basil -- I'll be e-mailing you to hear your Rallispec.

Ryan -- Waiting anxiously to hear your report...
