Default 15 inch wheels- forester xt

I am soon to buy forester xt. I am hoping I can mount my set of 205/15/60 Artic Alpins on a near new set of Impreza 15x6 inch 6 spoke alloy wheels that I have and put these on the Forester in the winter. I understand the forester may use a slightly different offset (48mm) wheel than the impreza (53 or 55 mm). My question is, will the 15 inch wheels I have described fit the Forester? Thanks!

No chance. The FXT uses the bigger brakes from the WRX, and a 15x6 rim won't clear those brakes. You are right about the offset, though. But that isn't your problem, it's the rim dimensions.

Thanks for the quick reply! It sounds like I would run into the same problem on a WRX. Right?

Yessir, you would see it hitting the brake caliper if you even tried to mount them.

You best bet would be to sell those off and pick up some 16" OE wheels from an RS, WRX or Legacy and just getting some new tires.

Bry.
