Did you put silicone where it must be when you changed them? are they OEM subaru or just a replica?, just guessing..

Please no silicone as you will never be able to remove the clusters! Just go to your Subaru dealer and ask them for a Subaru windshield goo stuff as they should have this in their bodyshop dept. They also have a part number for this, which I don't have handy. It's made by Subaru, it's black and will stain your fingers and it costs 12$CAN. I have tried Mono and others but it would still leak (even when I added some more and thinking it would be okay). With the Subaru stuff, no more leak, one application (be generous) and voilą!
Good luck, JF PS Oh, and make sure you remove all the water from the trunk. Look under your spare tire and inside the fender (behind the cheap lining) there are square holes that can keep at least 2 gallons of water!!! It will stink otherwise...and rust maybe. |

Thanks for the post man... I know exactly what you are talking about.. when I was changing them, I got that stuff stuck on my fingers and it took a while to get it off... I'll call my dealer ship tomorrow and see if they have anything in stock. I already know where the water accumulates.. I was bad once... like you said, the trunk stunk... the smell went away though... I have to get this fixed before puting my new impreza trunk mat.. which looks great by the way.. for only 29.95... scott (subaruparts.com) said that there weren't too many of them left any any one is looking to get one.

You can also use strip caulking, which come in boxes. 1/8" thick strips or something like that. Also called "dum-dum". May be cheaper than that windshield stuff, I got a big box for about $8.
