Default UTEC users with stage2/3 cars that have been dyno tuned...

did you pick up noticable gains? i'm very disgusted with the acceleration of my car now (high humidity, much higher temps 60-80f) and i'm running olf on v4.2 with the new stg2 basemap and the old timing map in it from before olf... my setup is as follows

-catless uppipe
-bellmouth m1 downpipe
-catless m1 3" exhaust
-turboxs utec
-hks bov
-aps dr650 fmic
-chopped stock air tube & K&N cone filter
-stock turbo @ 16.5psi, stock fuel

any opinions? I know everyone is going to say GET A BIGGER TURBO! but i'm not ready to do that yet

These two indicate to me that you need a tune real bad.

how detremental? i just put the FMIC on and i dremeled the stock air tube out of the stock airbox to keep my mafs where they were

what do you think i'm lacking at now? i don't think it's really any slower than the TMIC but it definately isn't faster

Both of those things, combined, throw the base maps out the window I think.
The stock intake is just fine the way it is and hacking it like that is really foolish, and a big FMIC with the stock turbo isn't a great idea, IMO, either.

I think you've 'overdosed' your motor

FMIC was cheap and the stock airbox couldn't be kept

The stock MAF tube was never ment to be used in such a fashion and I don't really know what effect the airfilter installed on it in that manner will do to airflow....

The ONLY thing that can be done is get it tuned...and hope for the best until you can get a bigger turbo, and do something with that intake.
