This was taken off from STi this Feb. I got it through friend who own STi went for coilover. It had 4k miles when taken off from his car.
Originally plan to put on my car, but I got prodrive spring instead and looking to order KYB struts after I sell this.
Here's some another member with same setup..

Brys,

Not to grill you, but a few questions. (Btw, it looks killer )

How's the FXT handle now that you've gone to the STi suspension? Noticibly less understeer & roll I'd imagine, but is it a *huge* difference, or a minor improvement?

How easy was the install in terms of hours in, and n00b-modder friendliness?

And what size rims & tires are those, I can't make it out...

Ghostrider,

If you have the top hats, springs and struts its about a 2 hour job total. I'd imagine at a 3 inch drop and a stiffer ride, it's a huge difference. Will find out in two days, even with the stock Geolanders.

1. It handles like a pro now, lower center of gravity, tighter suspension, great on curves and not too bumpy. The FXT is actually 76 lbs lighter then the STi, so it actually works better on the FXT
HUGE Improvement. I also have a 3 way adjustible rear sway (Progress 20-24mm) Which is killer with this suspension. It is an auto-x assassin now.

2. I've done countless suspensions at this point, but it's very easy to do. (2) 19mm bolts on the base of the strut, remove the brake line clips, endlinks, then 3 nuts up top, VIOLA, pull off the stock assembly and swap the STi one into its place. Took me about an hour with a friend.

3. Rims are Enkei ZR-1's in 17 x 7.5 with 225/45/17 Kumho 711 Tires, you can go up to a 55 series even with the STi drop.

TYVM for the info...now I just need the money & time and if the locals allow the FXT into their AutoX...whee-hah.

(problem is their rules--local club-- ban SUVs due to rollover--something the FXT doesn't carry the warning for, and isn't prone too, but we'll have to see...)

Did the swap this weekend. The hardest part was breaking free the 19mm nuts/bolts holding the bottom of the strut. You either need a really long breaker bar or an impact wrench. My standard 1/2 socket set wasn't long enough.

As for my wife finding out: "Honey, it's an adjustable suspension from the factory".

What's the mileage on the set?

EDIT: N/m, I was just informed I can't mod 'Her' car...which is fine, that's $650 for the STI/Leg GT instead.
