Default Shipping to Canada

RalliTEK uses the US Post Office to ship to Canada. That allows the same low cost to Canada as to US customers in most cases!

Yeah, unfortunetly Customs tend to hold the package for about 3 weeks.. As was the case with a package I was waiting on from the US shipped by USPS airmail.. It took 3 days over a month to get it... I highly suggest you choose a traceable service when shipping to Canada so your customers can at least see where their package is and what's causing it to take so long...

My 2 cents,
Chad

I have never had a parcel held by customs for more than a week I would think, since everything I have ever received through USPS was received in what I considered a reasonable time. i.e. not longer than a few weeks.

You've had things held at customs for a while? How big were the items?

I've ordered many things from the US and I've never had anything held at customs.

The package was small.. (4 strut top mounts)
I dunno why it was hung up as long as it was but... alas, it was!

I have also never had anything held to long at Customs going thru USPS route.
Usually, it's just a few extra days max.

Maybe it depends on where it crosses. I live around toronto, and I suspect there is alot more people living in my area then in Alberta. Which means there is alot more parcels to be checked at customes.

Garner Thomas,

I'm still waiting for my Rear Sway Bar! (going on 1 month)
You wanted me to keep you informed

Correct. With snail mail(USPS) there is no pressure on customs to get things done. So, If you are randomly picked and they are busy.....

The more expensive private carriers (Fedex, UPS..) Offer tracking that USPS does not.

Thanks for the shipping information. I have not had postal shipments delayed but I certainly have been faced with some VERY heavy broker fees with UPS.
Saving on shipping to Canada is a big deal and I will keep you in mind for my next purchase.
