I am from the US East coast but may be travelling to meet someone who is staying in Victoria and was hoping you guys (or gals) might be able to help me out. I looked into flights from JFK in New York to Vancouver and they cost around $630 USD. When I compared flights to Seattle there were only like $330 USD. I am wondering what options there are for getting from Seattle to Victoria or perhaps Vancouver. Would a ferry be reasonably priced? Where would I look this up?
Thanks in advance! Tony

That's the fast ferry from Seattle to Victoria and it looks like 106 US round trip per person. From the looks of it you save about 100 US if you go to Seattle first. |

You can also take the bus or train up from Seattle to Vancouver. My cousin has done that before.

This more expensive than Koyo's alternative, but float planes are fun.
Kenmore Air Maybe one way on a float plane and back on the ferry? Cheers, Chris. |

there is always
But I'm thinking people are kinda iffy about bringing hitchhikers across the border. We are already made to feel like convicts going down anyways. If you're heading up around the 29th of May, I think there are a couple of people of heading up from Seattle for the Show 'n Shine. |
