Seems like VW's are either rock solid or complete pieces of crap. My dad's friend has an '86 Scirocco with 326,000 miles on it and the thing is absolutely perfect. On the other hand, a guy I went to school with had a GTI that was in the shop for 2 mos out of the first 6 mos of it's life.

Flag,

I'd be interested to know how much you miss the AWD. I have considered switching back to a FWD car but I have a feeling I would grow frustrated with the inevitable understeer that comes with it. I like that the WRX can forgive the fact that I am an absolutely horrible driver

I owe very little on the RS (less than $6000) and most dealerships are offering me $12500 for it so it has a bit of equity on it . It was mainly the fact that the three subby dealerships i went to couldnt beat the financing rate that VW gave me and two of the dealerships where very rude and just seemed like they didnt want my business. The mods that came on the GTI are basicaly it has a chip and exhaust. I will post pics tommorow morn and plan on adding hard piping and a front mount within the next few months.
