Hey-
I am going to be participating in my first autocross this weekend. I am currently running Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 712 tires sized 205/55VR-16. What is the right pressure to run (for the average cheap performance street tire)? I also heard something about a "chalk trick" to see when your pressures are at a good level... Can someone elighten me? THanks -Ben

I ran 38 in front and 32 in rear, my first event. But I'd try lower pressures since the sidewall seems to standup fairly well.
The chalk trick is simply putting chalk on the sidewall (near the tread obviously) so you know just how much of the sidewall is wearing on the road. |
