Next...Interior...
I had a great carpet that was destined for my L project car, but my arm was tristed and I sold it. I figured I wouldn't need it since I was selling both subies and the RS one was recently replaced. 8 months and a few leaky parts later the RS in back under construction and the OEM carpet is ruined. So I bought one of the famous Group Buy carpets and attempted to install it.
Lets just say, I should have believed everyone, this carpet SUCKS!!! I am now without a carpet, but who needs carpet anyway right? I will just bite the bullet on this one and have it professionally done Once Im all tuned and running.
For seats I got a smoking deal on some 04's from a local customer who upgraded to STi seats. I will change to a full racing set later on though.
Next, I found a little gift on Ebay that I couldn't pass up, I may have been able to source them thru a dist of mine, But Im a impulse guy like everyone and the buyitnow made it too easy. 12 secs ;later they were bought and paid for...
Power WRC style mirrors that fit to perfection!!! Wooo Hooo!!
Having gotten so far and now so close to turning the key its on to instrumentation and tunes...
I decided to run a Apex-i turbo timer and apex-i EL gauges. I like these parts for several reasons that i wont blab about right now. I installed a Boost, EGT and Oil pressure. For tunes I installed my 6400 Pioneer screen and am installing Kenwood DB front components to compliment the rear coaxials.(lightest speakers I could find) and for Bass, a 10" Freeair Pioneer sub in the rear deck powered by a small Soundstream amp (Im old school audio).Overal the audio system weighs only 1.3lbs more than all the stock components (yes, I thought of that too).
Next installment will be exhaust and Turbo install, and possibly intercooler and startup for the first time.
