Question CEL at 36K miles?

Is there a CEL programmed to come on at 36K miles?

It was at 36,003 when I noticed the CEL, so is it possible it happened right at 36K? I mean, is this just something it's programmed to do... like a maintenance type thing?

Only engine mods btw are K&N panel filter and silicone IC hoses.

UPDATE: nm... i found the info i needed on how to clean the MAF sensor

I'll see if this helps... either way I'm off to the dealer this weekend to check things out. Just to be safe

I have over 44,000 miles, no CEL ever. '02 WRX with mods. Get the code pulled, or check your K&N out to make sure it's properly installed if you have done it recently... Other than that,

I didn't just get gas... that's happened to me before, so the first when i got home was re-tighten the gas cap.

I've heard about the oil from K&Ns. I've had the thing for so long now.

I planned on going to the dealer this weekend to take care of the cruise control recall, so I'll get the code pulled if it's still there. This just happened to me when I was out at lunch and I haven't had time to check it again.

So I guess the fact that it happened at 36K was a coincidence huh? I just thought it was a little weird...

Anybody?
Would those 2 mods cause a CEL??

Wonder if its a cylinder misfire... had a cylinder misfire at 20k.
36k for me is another story and i dont want to stray from this thread.

Autozone pulls codes for free... no reason to go to a dealer
