Who isnt. Well I am looking for a car thats around the blue book value (NADA, its what my bank goes by), no bondo, less than 70k, manual, and preferbly not blue. I have noticed that alot of the owners of these cars owe alot over bluebook. Which is sad for them and the potential buyers as well who want a decent deal. Well, just throwing this out there. I am ready to buy now if its the right car. And I have been through autotrader.

For me it depends on the car.

NADA doesnt give private party values, but its what my bank geos by. Usually the private party value is about the average of trade in and retail. So about 11.5 is as high as I want to go for an 01.
NADA fully loaded 01

KBB PP value 2001 excellent cond.

NADA 1999 fully loaded

KBB 1999 PP value excellent cond.

I am more flexable on the 00 and 01 (esp the 01) due to the LSD. Hope this helps.

And I seriously doubt anyone is going to sell you a good condition 01 2.5 RS for under $11.5k, unless it has very high mileage.

KBB PP value for an 01 2.5 RS coupe with only standard options, excellent condition, and typical mileage (which for an 01 is 48k) is $12,970.

In Eugene, OR at the Honda dealership there is a 4 door impreza on the lot. Green. It had aftermarket wheels and appeared to be an RS as I rolled past. The sticker said $11,xxx.
