Default Solo II and rules about intake?

My question concerns the Solo II regulations on the removal of the ram air funnel and the resonator box on the WRX intake. Is this allowed or will I have to replace these items before I start any runs.

Stock? Can't touch the intake, other than a replacement air filter in the stock enclosure.

Other classes, intake is pretty much free to the turbo/IC.

I know there's a lot of information in the thread, but wee have one that discusses different things that can be done in different classes: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...hreadid=174189

Then there's the Solo-II rules online: http://www.moutons.org/sccasolo/

If that's your only mod, talk to the guys in your region and see if they'll let you run in local events. I'm currently running in HS even though I have STi seats.

I've done the intake mod and my nieghbor gave me a hyper ground wire system so those are the only two mods. I can rip the wires off in about 10 minutes if it's going to be an issue.

I wouldn't worry about either of those mods. Neither one makes any power, and you're not going to be winning your first time out, so no one is going to protest you. It would only be a concern if you were good enough to make it to nationals.

You might be one of 100,000 drivers that have natural talent that can show up never having run before, and run a good time. But what Chuck was saying, don't go in with high expectaitons. A stock civic, driven by someone who's been doing this for years, has the capability to blow your doors off.
