Default Horn & Cruise on 99 Inoperative Suby Techs please Help !

I just got the 99 Forester S back from the shop and now NOTHING connected to the steeering wheel works.

- I got a dash warning light for the airbag which went away after I stopped and re-started the car
- horn and cruise are inoperative
- I pulled the center pad and checked the connection looks OK
- I checked ALL the fuses (cabin fusebox & engine bay fusebox)
- I check all under dash connections

Any suggestions ?

DaveC

What was it in the shop for? What did the dealership touch? That's where I'd look first. Does the power light come on when you push the cruise button on the dash?

you need a roll connector.

Make sure it is plugged in first, but sounds like you need a roll connector.

Default Roll connector (aka clockspring)

Yeah I am going to check this out with the fluke tonight and see if there is continuity.

It would make sense that the clockspring gets FUBAR then anything on the wheel is not connected.

Thanks,

Dave
