There's a new member to the forester club.
I'm the proud new owner of a Platinum Silver FXT.
I'm in (shock) that I actually traded in my WRX but it's for the better.

Thanks Ben,
Now that I got the XT they'll probably bring over the Forester STi. I almost cried driving away from my WRX but I think I'm gonna love my XT just as much

Thanks for the welcome, we're in the same club now

I'm goin for a mornin spin

I know what you mean. I traded my wrx in on the XT and never looked back. Once I stripped all the extras I had added it just looked like any other WRX wagon so it was quite an easy transition. Besides, there are fewer XT's which is somewhat of a plus for us. Welcome, and if you are not familiar with www.subaruforester.com then join us there as well. It is truly home for us Forester converts

My mom ordered a Forester, waited for it to come in, drove an hour to the dealership, only to watch them drop it off the top of the transporter and total it.

Holy crap STiGuy I know that sucked. Hope the person didn't get hurt considering how safe they are..

I'd require a big discount on the replacement since I'd have to wait longer

Thanks for the heads up Randolph I'm headed there right now to join

Wasn't too bad for my mom, because she's the type that usually squeezes pennies to death. She was kinda upset at first because she had decided to buy a new car for a change (all of us kids out of the house and all) and had to wait only to watch it get destroyed. She got the same Forester with a couple extra options for the same price because they had a similar one on the truck.

I dont have any evidence of this but i'd guess we're the older gang who loves the performance subies and opted for the Forester because of it's versatility.

i loved my WRX and waited forever for Subaru to bring over the turbo. if the FXT would have been offered at the time i wouldn't have bothered with the WRX. not that i didn't like it it has been the best most fun car ive had so far but i LOVE the fact that we have it all now. preformance and the versatility of a small SUV

it's a wicked sleeper

I agree 100%,

I also had a WRX, but got tired of bending rims and having to slow down at the slightest speed bumps. The FXT hadn't arrived when I bought my XS but my wife says, "Look at it this way, you don't have all those speeding tickets either"
