Default going to England

I'm about to go England, and i was wondering what any of you folks can recommend to go see motorsports related. I'm definitely goin to the Donington Musuem, that looks really interesting. Can anyone tell me anything else to go see? Mr. Felstead maybe? I would love to visit some factories, especially the Lotus factory.

I'll be in England from May 25 to June 14th.

Thanks in advance.

im not sure when it is usually held but i think the "goodwood festival of speed" might be occurring between those dates. id give my left butt cheek to go to that. you could also take a quick trip to france and watch the 24 hrs of le mans live.

Goodwood is just after you leave the UK, There is a cool GP museum at Donnington Park (castle donnington on a map). I would check and see if a BRC round is running or perhaps a F3 race. Donnington Park is very cool. Mr. Felstead is a great guide especially if you are lost and your only answer is "There is nothing around except a lot of sheep". In London the war museum is cool and one that not everyone goes to and the standard stuff British museum, Tower ect.

Lotus is way out in the middle of nowhere in Norwich. But a super place, with a good guided tour. Huge Lotus dealership in Warwick, with a TVR dealer in the same complex. Very nice collection of cars between them.

Near Bournemouth in Beaulieu is the Lord Montague museum with some awesome cars. Lots of the very old (19th century and the like), but some modern F1 cars, a real GT40 and Jag xj220. Saw my first Evo5 and sti there in the parking lot (years ago).

Silverstone and Brands Hatch are close-ish to London but both in different directions. Do a Google for the mentioned sites and see if they have any events taking place. Another track is Goodwood or Castle Coombe.

You have to go watch a round of British rally cross. You have ex group B rally cars competing against modern day WRC Focus etc.

These puppies are packing out around 700bhp and can out accelerate an F1 car to sixty!

Look here for dates http://www.rallycrossuk.com/

I've always gone to watch then at Lydden circuit when I'm back over in the UK and its a cheap entertaining day out. I know at Lydden you can actually walk into the pits and chat with the drivers and team etc.

Well worth a visit.
